Brightness
- It is the most known display setting
- Can be set up by buttons on the notebook
Calibrate Display Color
- Settings that can change display colors.
- Gamma –> Set up Low
- Colors –> Set up Low
- Brightness –> Use buttons on a notebook
- Contrast could not be changed on notebooks
Change Mouse Cursor
- Size –> Make Mouse icon bigger
- Inverted cursor color –> Cursor will be black on a white background and white on a black background
Display Resolution
- Avoid being too close to the monitor
- Standard is full HD resolution 1920 x 1080
- You may use lower resolution to see text better
Display Settings
- Avoid being too close to the monitor
- Size of text – try to choose bigger
- Make everything bigger – try to choose the best size
High Contrast Settings
- High contrast settings may be useful for some programs
- Set up by shortcut: Left ALT + Left SHIFT + PRINTSCREEN
Activate Dark Mode in Windows - Solution 1
- Go to system settings -> Color -> New Window opens -> Select Choose Your Color to
Dark
- This is default dark mode for Windows, including dark ribbons, dark explorer, but
do not change most of apps
- You can set up dark mode separate in your browser too.
Activate Dark Mode in Windows - Solution 2
- Guide how to Set up your Windows to display inverted colors (Black will become
White, and White will be Black)
- Preparation: Set up your Windows to have White items and background
- Then: Go to Settings -> Color Filters -> Inverted
- All black items will become white and all white will become black
- Can turn it on with shortcut: WINDOWS KEY + CTRL + C
- Inverting collors works for all apps too.
Try an External or Different Monitor
- Try to use a monitor with different properties of brightness and contrast settings
- Change settings by buttons on the notebook
- Brightness means power of the lamp behind
- LCD panel creates color creation and darkening effect between the lamp and outside of the LCD monitor
- Contrast means darkening function of the color panel outside of the lamp. Select low values
- Gamma settings mean the darkening of a specific color of the display outside of the lamp. Select low values
